Wow, some really great information I have to remember for my next vacation!
I realised that many people, when going on a vacation, are unable or do not wish to take their dogs. So they leave them with relatives or neighbors. Truthfully it is hard to trust someone with my dog. I can only sleep if it is in a dog motel or hotel.
When my wife and I got remarried in Australia we had the same problem. We left our dog with some of our friends but our dog didn't get the regular brushing she needed and she was all matted up when we got back. Best to just go with the dog motel!
